These beginning vocabulary center cards are easy to use, self-correcting to support early reading skills.

These centers can be used for independent study, or with a partner. This “Make a Match” Learning Center set comes with 12 cards. Each card includes 10 challenges for a total of 120 challenges. Each card is self-correcting. These cards give children practice in:

• letter sound correspondence
• blend sounds to read words
• become familiar with high-frequency words

Vocabulary development is an important part of helping children become fluent readers. The ability to readily recognize words has a strong correlation to the ability to comprehend written materials.
